Camellia Oil: A Beauty Elixir
In the last couple of months I used on my face almost only oils. I love oils and and I have a lot of them. I’ve tried, until now, the renowned argan oil, olive oil, calendula oil, grape seed oil, almond oil, sesame oil and so on; and, of course, recently I’ve purchased Camellia oil.
I’ve never heard of this oil until a few months ago when I read an article about Japanese beauty tricks. There, it was written that Camellia oil was the secret behind the porcelain, stunning beauty of a geisha. That struck o cord with me and I knew I had to have it. An now I do 🙂 and I am extremely satisfied with it.
Camellia oil, also known as green tea oil, is rich in vitamins, minerals and anti oxidants. it contains Omega 6 Linoleic fatty acids and Omega 9 Oleic fatty acids which enhance skin moisture and flexibility. This oil is good not only for your skin but also for your hair and nails.
Camellia Oil for your hair
For a healthy, shiny hair you can apply a few drops of oil after washing your hair and massage your scalp and also pay attention to hair end which tend to be drier. You can also use it on dry hair without prior washing.
Also, it can be used as a treatment for dull, damaged hair and must be applied before washing. Massage your hair with this oil and after cover it with a towel or a shower cap for 30 to 60 minutes. Then wash your hair as usual.
Camellia Oil for your skin
I can tell you from experience that it really hydrates your skin. I have dry skin and after a couple of days I’ve seen some improvements. I like the fact that it has a light texture and a delicate, almost imperceptible smell . It enters the skin almost immediately living it soft and tender. I apply it on my face and around my eyes without mixing it with other oils, which you can totally do. You can even add some to your daily cream.
Other benefits of Camellia Oil:
is non-comedogenic; repairs damaged skin by sun exposure and aging; very good for stretch marks; it contains squalene, a natural component of human sebum which helps nourish and moisturize the skin; protects skin from harmful UV and environmental damage; It also known to protect from age spots and pigmentation.
This oil definitely won me over so I recommend it with open heart. What is your favorite oil?
